How often are you cleaning refillable devices?

Curious what people consider a realistic cleaning routine for refillable devices. I do a quick wipe around the fill area whenever I refill and a more complete clean when I notice buildup or when I change parts.

I am not looking for a universal schedule so much as the signs people actually use to decide it is time.

That is closer to how we document it than using one fixed interval. Visible residue, condensation, changing fit, and anything affecting normal operation are more useful triggers than a calendar alone.

I track it by refill count because it helps me notice whether one setup needs attention sooner than another.

Tool choice matters too. The useful cleaning accessory is the one that reaches the area without making the routine harder than the problem.
