USB-C cable fit differences across devices

Cable fit is one of those details that sounds too small to matter until a port only feels secure with one cable. In hardware testing, I want to know whether several known-good compatible cables insert cleanly, remain stable, and charge without needing pressure or a specific angle.

A loose-feeling connector is not automatically a failure, but interruptions or repeatable sensitivity to movement are worth documenting.

This is the thread I came for. I have one device that charges with every cable but feels noticeably shallower with two of them. No interruptions yet.

Here for charging behavior, ports, and cables.

I would separate mechanical feel from electrical behavior exactly like that. If it stays connected under normal movement, the feel alone may just be tolerance.

Hardware details are usually where the answer is hiding.

Right. The conclusion gets stronger when the same behavior repeats across multiple compatible cables.
