Best routine for cleaning around fill ports

What is everyone using for routine cleanup around fill ports and seals? I want something simple enough to do regularly without poking at seals or leaving fibers behind.

My current routine is a dry lint-free wipe, then a more careful clean only when residue is actually visible.

That is a sensible baseline. The tool should match the space and avoid turning cleaning into abrasion. I prefer soft, low-lint materials for routine wiping and only use narrower tools where access actually requires them.

Also let the area dry fully before reassembly when a deeper clean involves any moisture.
