Intermittent charging unless cable is angled

One device only charges reliably when the cable sits at a slight angle. I have tried three compatible cables and cleaned the port carefully, and the behavior repeats with all three.

At this point I am assuming it is the port rather than the cables, but is there anything else worth checking before I stop using it?

If the same interruption repeats across multiple known-good compatible cables and changes with connector position, that is enough reason to stop treating the cable as the likely cause. Avoid forcing the connector.

I would also inspect for visible damage or debris with the device disconnected, but I would not keep bending the plug around to make contact.
