New release announcements: what info should be confirmed first?

A release post is much more useful when it separates what is actually confirmed from what is still promotional or incomplete. Before we publish, I look for the exact product name, announced specifications, release timing, availability, pricing where provided, and whether the source is the manufacturer or a secondary report.

What detail do you most often see missing from early release coverage?

Real availability. “Available now” can mean one retailer, one region, or a listing that is not actually shipping yet.

Replacement-part compatibility. Launch pages often name the device before they clearly identify which parts go with it.

Both are reasons we update release coverage after day one instead of treating the announcement as the final record.
