Silent specification changes after launch

Sometimes a product page changes after launch without a new announcement. A specification can be corrected, a compatibility note can change, or a listed feature can quietly disappear.

When we catch a material change, the useful response is to document what changed and when rather than pretending the original page never existed.

This is where dated source notes matter. Without the earlier record, it becomes difficult to distinguish a correction from our own memory.

And not every wording change is a specification change. We should compare the actual claim before escalating it.

Exactly. Material changes get an update; cosmetic edits do not need a news story.
